Business Need & Concurrency Demands
ClipPathPro provides dedicated graphic post-production and commercial photo clipping to global eCommerce brands and photography studios. The platform required an automated system capable of ingesting gigabytes of raw image data simultaneously without locking web server threads or degrading customer checkout flows.
Architectural Blueprint
To prevent web server saturation, our engineering team architected a completely decoupled file ingestion and processing pipeline:
- Direct-to-S3 Presigned Uploads: Client file uploads bypass the application server entirely, streaming directly to Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3 via cryptographically signed one-time PUT URLs.
- Asynchronous Queue Workers: Built a background job processor using Redis and Action Scheduler to handle image thumbnailing, metadata extraction, and order routing asynchronously.
- Stripe Connect Invoicing: Integrated multi-currency Stripe billing with automated tiered corporate discounts, tax computation, and automated PDF invoice generation.
- Webhooks Telemetry: Real-time production status updates pushed to client dashboards using secure HMAC-authenticated webhooks.
Measurable Business Impact
- Eliminated 100{b5da737694223f607d0e549c21b15546c0760cb0ad3184bd878d13bcbf5bb084} of web server upload timeouts during peak 10GB+ bulk submission windows.
- Reduced server disk I/O load by 74{b5da737694223f607d0e549c21b15546c0760cb0ad3184bd878d13bcbf5bb084} through direct cloud object storage offloading.
- Order turnaround tracking latency reduced from minutes to sub-second notifications.
